Washington County Environmental Health Environmental Health Specialist Individual will perform all work assignments under the supervision and direction of the Environmental Health Program Director. Will be primarily responsible for inspection and regulation of food establishments and maintaining National Retail Food Regulatory Program Standards. Will be trained to do inspections for other environmental programs. This position requires extensive training and travel for required trainings. Also preferred (or ability to acquire): Certified Pool Operator license, completion of National Incident Command System (NIMS) training, Food Inspector standardized training, and/or Certified Professional in Food Safety certification. Minimum education requirements: Completion of Associate's degree in natural science(s) or other job-related field from an accredited college or university - OR - equivalent combination of education and experience in an environmental, radiation control, environmental health, or food sanitation program for each year of the required education.
