The YMCA of Washington County is dedicated to youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
Ensuring no child, individual or family is turned away from life enhancing programs due to the inability to pay.
We have been in our location on East Main Street since 1924, serving the people of Washington and surrounding areas. The YMCA organization was founded in 1844 in England, by George Williams who wanted to provide an environment that included educational, physical and social opportunities for young men based on Christian values.
Today we are still striving to create those opportunities for everyone in our community. They are needed as much today, as then. In a society that is increasing in size literally, we are here to offer our services to help keep the people of our community active both physically and socially.
