In Loving Memory Veterans Day November 11, 2019 The Avenue of Flags has released the plans tor the 2019 Henry County Weterans Day Observance Monday, November 1 The observance will begin at 10:30am. and will be held in the community room of the Veterans Hall located at 300 W Monroe St. There is parking located on all 4 sides of the building Dean King Avenue of Flags Chairman and Honer Guard Commander will be the Master of Ceremonies Pastor Bryan Katchay, Pastor of the Congregatsonal Church in Mt. Pleasant, will deliver the invocation and benediction The MPCHS Chamber Choir under the direction of Martene DePiest will be singing the National Anthem and andther patriotic selection Al commanders or their representatives of the Veterans of Foreign Wars posts. American Legion posts, and AMVETS pest ocated troughout Henry County are invited to speak for 2 mintes. Thoe speaking should make themselves known at the podium before 10:30. At approximately 11.00 am the Henry County Honor Guard wll fire 3 voleys in Honor of all Veterans and taps will be sounded The Veterans Day obsenvance is a public event and is open to anyone who wishes to attend and give tribute to veterans There were 9 names added to the Henry County Memorial stones this Veterans Day.
