Fairfield 1st Fridays Art Walk enjoys a regional reputation as a major community event celebrating the arts and provides the basis for Fairfield to be known as a Midwest Art Colony.
Each art walk is a unified community event that celebrates the arts in all its forms, featuring high quality art and entertainment, lots of food and lots of fun. Occasionally art walk features a juried art event and some art walks encompass an entire weekend, highlighted with educational opportunities.
This signature event has a powerful impact on the community, artistically, socially & economically. Artists & participants gather from all across the area to learn, appreciate, enjoy, socialize & shop. Art walk is an integral part of the economic community contributing to the success of the art galleries/vendors and shops downtown.
